Street soccer for homeless at the City Hall Square (20 May 2015, 17.30-18.30)

The Danish National Team for homeless could be experienced during a training session, and it was possible to talk to the people behind the Danish organisation OMBOLD.

 

OMBOLD has success with attracting, motivating and maintaining socially vulnerable people to commitment and participation in street soccer.

Welcome reception at Copenhagen City Hall (20 May 2015, 18.30-19.30)

The City of Copenhagen welcomed the WCSF2015 participants in the beautiful surroundings at Copenhagen City Hall. The participants greeted and networked with their colleagues from around the world, and tasted the renowned City Hall pancakes.

Boat tour to Copenhagen’s best sights and attractions (20 May 2015, 20.00-21.00)

A guided tour around the harbour and through the idyllic canals was enjoyed by some of the congress participants. Tales were told about Copenhagen's beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses, new buildings and other sights of interest.

Football tournament (21 May 2015)

No football congress without a football tournament! Several teams joined for the social tournament and the competitive tournament, and the football game was enjoyed together with colleagues from around the world.

 

In the warm up, all participants were introduced to the Danish Football Association’s initiative Football Fitness: Effective, social and fun football exercise.

Younger researchers get-together: Local Danish beer (21 May 2015)

The younger researchers had the opportunity to be introduced to “Local Danish beer” and the scene of microbrewery in Denmark. The evening included a tour in the local brewery Nørrebro Bryghus, and the taste of a number of local beers.

Footbag tricks and freestyle entertainment (21-22 May 2015)

During the congress, Footbag Denmark showed fascinating tricks and gave tips to the congress participants. Also, DGI Underground organised freestyle performances during the congress and at the congress dinner.

Congress dinner with a taste of Danish cuisine (22 May 2015)

Congress participant enjoyed a festive and informal congress dinner with delicious foods inspired by the Danish cuisine, a sports quiz, and music. The congress dinner took place at the top floor of the congress venue CPH Conference, a modern setting overlooking the rooftops of Copenhagen.
